ARLINGTON, VA. — Alice Griffith has joined Crown to serve as the Senior Director of State and Commercial Aviation. In this role, Griffith directs Crown’s services in assisting state governments and leading commercial partners in planning and managing the implementation of emerging aircraft operations.
This includes uncrewed aircraft systems (UAS) and advanced air mobility technologies applied to use cases such as health logistics, drone-as-first-responder, infrastructure inspection and data collection.
“We are very excited to have Alice join our Crown team,” said Afzal (“Al”) Khan, President and CEO of Crown Consulting. “Her efforts in industry-government partnership and experience helping states implement advanced aviation technology are directly aligned to our focus.”
Previously, Griffith served as director of enterprise partnerships at the Unmanned Safety Institute (USI), where she led business strategy development and commercial, civil, and defense sales. She also serves as the secretary of the FAA Drone Safety Team Steering Committee, supporting industry-government partnership dedicated to the safe operation of UAS in the National Airspace System.
Prior to that, Griffith drove business development for state and commercial clients at Airspace Link, a UAS Service Supplier. She entered the drone industry in 2018 while managing a business unit at SP Global, where she played a key role in commercializing Air Force intellectual property to integrate an artificial intelligence-based logistics platform for drones in health and medical operations.
Before joining the UAS industry, Griffith spent a decade in transportation and logistics for food and healthcare manufacturers. She is a licensed Part 107 Pilot and a volunteer emergency medical technician. Griffith has earned several accolades, including multiple Top 40 Under 40 awards and recognition as a Woman to Watch by the Women in Drones Trade Association.
