Crown Consulting Inc. has teamed with industry partners to conduct a sequence of human factors experiments to define user standards for remote tower systems for air traffic control (ATC).
The three-year General Air Traffic and Technical Operations Research Laboratory (GATTOR) project will help the Federal Aviation Administration’s Center for Aviation Medicine Institute develop human factors standards for remote tower systems.
The project leverages Crown’s established software development and modeling capabilities to rebuild the vital Tower Simulation-Based Performance Measure tool that FAA uses to evaluate performance of ATC tower controllers.
